The project participated in several international and regional events in which it interacted with citizens through participatory, educative activities.

Environmental Fair "Think and Act Green"

This fair had the objective of promoting environmental issues and positive attitudes for caring for the environment. 200 organisations participated in the fair, presenting ways of caring for the environment, among which the City Footprints project participated with an informative stand.

Projects Results Presentation – La Paz

The results of the carbon footprint and water footprint studies for the city of La Paz and the action plan for responding to these results were presented at a formal event in the Red Salon of the Mayor’s Palace of the Autonomous Municipal Government of La Paz (GAMLP). The event was attended by representatives of the GAMLP, CAF Bolivia and Servicios Ambientales S.A.

World Urban Forum and WUF7 Medellin

The World Urban Forum (WUF) is the main world conference on cities, held once every two years. It is a technical non-legislative forum organised by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) to examine the challenges that the world faces around human settlements, such as rapid urbanisation and its impacts on cities, communities, economies, climate change and policy.

Resilient Cities 2014 - Annual Global Forum on Urban Resilience and Adaptation

Resilient Cities is the worldwide platform for urban resilience and climate change adaptation capacity, organised by ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability and co-organised by the World Mayors Council on Climate Change and the city of Bonn, Germany. Each year, Resilient Cities brings together 500 urban planners, mayors, representatives of international organisations and researchers from across the world. The programme is focused on a variety of key themes, including risk data, adaptation planning, funding, city-region food systems and resilient infrastructure.

Smart Sustainable Cities

The Smart Sustainable Cities event had the objective of promoting crucial issues including smart sustainable cities, electric and electronic appliance waste management, exposure of people to electromagnetic fields and collaboration with academic institutions. It brought together the main specialists in the area, from policy managers to engineers, planners, civil servants, regulatory organisations, academic institutions, standards experts and other actors.

Tunja Environment and Sustainability Week 2013

Through ludic events, film showings, environmental workshops, cultural presentations and an academic day, the municipal government seeks to generate environmental awareness and to encourage respect, conservation and protection of natural resources.
